The 2020 FanShield 500 is gearing up to be an exciting race with Chase Elliot and Kevin Harvick leading the starting grid on Sunday. Elliot won the pole with a time of 26.065 and reached a top speed of 138.116 mph. Harvick finished just a few ticks behind Elliot with a 26.110 qualifying time to earn the #2 spot on the grid.
I doubt Harvick’s all that bummed about the 2nd place finish in the poles considering his success at Phoenix Raceway over the years. He’s found himself in the Winner’s Circle a whopping 9 times over the years, and has finished in the Top 5 an impressive 17 times. Harvick is being offered at (+475) odds on most sportsbooks, and surprisingly not the favorite to win this one on Sunday.
Kyle Busch is the favorite to win the FanShield 500 on Sunday at (+425) odds. Busch won this race last year and has finished in the top 5 11 times over his career. In his last 4 races at Phoenix Raceway, Kyle Busch has won twice, and finished 2nd in the other two races.
Martin Truex Jr. at (+875) has some great value if you ask me. While having yet to claim victory at Phoenix Raceway, the #76 car has finished top 5 twice, and inside the top 10 three times in the last 4 races.
I got to roll with the veteran Kevin Harvick here. The dude practically owns Phoenix Raceway with 9 career victories at the track thus far. He’s also averaging a ~5th place finish in his last 6 races this Cup Season. If you’re looking to wager some money on the FanShield 500 this Sunday, head over to William Hill Sportsbook to take Harvick at (+475) to win this race.
