Tip off: Monday March 9th @ 6 p.m. CT.
The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns defeated the Arkansas State Wolves 73-66 on Saturday to advance to Game 3 of the Sun Belt Tournament. Louisiana now travels to Statesboro, Georgia to battle Georgia Southern at Tanner Fieldhouse on Monday at 6 p.m.
Georgia Southern is looking for its third victory against Louisiana this season. The first two matchups favored Georgia Southern 71-51 and 86-79. However, the Ragin Cajuns just defeated the Arkansas State Wolves 73-66, which is who Georgia Southern lost its most recent game to 75-76. The Ragin Cajuns have gotten hot as of late and gained quite a bit of momentum as they’ve won 3 in a row.
In Georgia Southern’s most recent 75-76 loss to Arkansas State the Eagles shot an impressive 49.1 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from behind the arc. Isaiah Crawley led the way for the Eagles offensively with 20 points and 12 rebounds to record a double-double.
The Ragin Cajuns enter this one following a 73-66 victory over the Arkansas State Wolves in Game 1 of the Sun Belt Tournament. Louisiana really spread its offense around well as 5 players scored 10 or more points for the Ragin Cajuns. 19-year-old Mylik Wilson scored 17 points and came down with 12 total rebounds to record a double-double for the Ragin’ Cajuns.
Louisiana’s defense is horrendous, allowing 76 points per game which ranks 317th in the country.

Early lines favor Georgia Southern by 8 points, which is way too many if you ask me. The Ragin’ Cajuns have all the momentum following 3-straight victories, and Freshman Mylik Wilson is playing lights-out for Louisiana as of late. Look for Louisiana to easily cover the +8-point spread on Monday and maybe even win this one outright. Head over to William Hill Sportsbook to take Louisiana +8 before the line start moving too much.
